Who can become a mentor?
Anyone who has passed their Leadership Qualification, whether a previous qualification or the new online Leadership Development Programme.
All you need is enthusiasm and the drive to help someone else to complete their own qualification. Take a look at the role description.
What does it involve?
Having an introductory meeting with your mentee to meet each other.
Keeping in touch with your mentee and helping them to track their progress through their training.
Visiting your mentee in their meeting place three times during their training to see their skills in action; then helping them reflect on and learn from their experiences.


What training is there?
Mentor training webinars can be booked on the learning platform and we also often hold in-person training within the county. Contact the county office or look at our training page for upcoming availability.
How do I become a mentor?
Contact the LDP coordinator via the county office for more information and to sign up.
Who can I ask for help?
LDP coordinator. The county LDP coordinator is based at the county office. If you have any questions, get in touch and they would be happy to help.
Cambs West mentor WhatsApp group. Cambs West have a WhatsApp group just for mentors. This is a great place to use the expertise of other experienced leaders and mentors. If you are an LDP mentor in Cambs West, email the county office to request to join.
