Introducing the Cambs West Walk Together challenge in partnership with Country walking magazine! Country walking magazine have a walk 1000 miles challenge but we thought we would ease into that gently with the walk 100 miles challenge.
We want everyone to cover the 100 miles in a way that challenges them so it could be 100 miles of walking or by another means or a combo it all depends on the challenge for the girl/adult. It is open to all sections, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers, Leaders, Trefoil and hopefully families will get involved too!
There will be badges you can earn for different mileage intervals of 5, 10, 25, 50, 75 and 100 which will all sew together like in the design above. Badges are available on the website here so parents can order their own, or leaders can order these on behalf of the unit where unit fund allow. The first few stages will be done on a pre-order basis so we know we are ordering in the right quantities, so please expect a delay on delivery. Badges will be £1 each.
In order to help you keep track of your mileage, we have this handy colouring in chart to track your mileage. You can download the chart here.
Don't forget to order your badges as you go along! We hope to run an event next year, to bring everyone together as a county, where you can earn the middle hexigon so look out for those details soon. If you are a collector and want the hexagon badge also please fill out the form here and we will notify you once they are produced.
Please let us know how you get along, we would love pictures of your adventures as you walk around the county, use the hashtag #CambsWestWalkTogether to keep our pictures all together.
