Unit grants
Below are details of different grants that are available for units through Girlguiding and Trefoil Guild.
Other grants may be available from local charities or organisations.
Accessible guiding grant
A grant to help make guiding accessible for all members.
We want all our young members and volunteers to have a great guiding experience and take part in all we have to offer. This grant helps to support young members with additional needs access all areas of the programme, from unit meetings through to international trips. It can also help volunteers who need additional support to carry out their guiding role.


Anglia new unit grant
This grant is aimed at helping to support new units before or just after they open in Anglia.
The Anglia New Unit Grant is available for new units to apply to for a maximum of £250 to assist in the delivery of the Girlguiding programme and an additional maximum of £120 to support the first 6-meetings’ rent or 3 months online meeting platform licence costs.
Trefoil Guild new unit grant
A helping hand for your new unit from the Trefoil Guild.
If you're opening a new guiding unit, you will need some key resources from Girlguiding to get started. This grant helps to cover the costs by funding a starter pack with your choice of items.


UK units in need grant
A grant to help units who are struggling financially.
No matter where they're based or the financial challenges they face. We want all units to have the opportunity to get involved in guiding events and experiences.
Unit support fund
This grant is available thanks to funding from the Girlguiding unit support fund.
Girlguiding is sharing this fund with countries and regions in 2025. Anglia has the grant available to units in need from 1 January 2025 up until all funds have been allocated.
Units in deprived areas and or units who are experiencing financial difficulties may apply.


WAGGGS Ukraine emergency fund
Ensure that Ukrainian girls arriving in the UK can join Girlguiding - and that they’re given a warm welcome into the community.
Girlguiding have received a grant from WAGGGS in response to the emergency crisis caused by war in Ukraine. The grant will help to leaders give girls and their families a warm welcome into the community by providing key Girlguiding documents in their home language. We’re also giving £100 grants to help support Ukrainian girls and volunteers.
