Brownies - Space Centre Sleepover 7-8th May 2022

We have ANOTHER exciting event for you! Brownies across the county are invited to a special sleepover at the Leicester Space Centre, on the 7th - 8th of May.

The prices that have been subsidised by Cambs West County include coach travel to and from Leicester a light breakfast bag, a badge and certificate.

Child £50.00 : Adult £8.00.

A £15.00 deposit per child is required before 28th February 2022 secure the booking. The final £35.00 per child and £8.00 per adult is required not later than 21st March 2022. Please remember all adults in your group will require a minimum Safe Space 2 and a current Girlguiding DBS.

Sleepover activies

The sleepover includes:

- Interactive workshops

- A chance to explore the galleries with a gallery trail

- Tour of the Night Sky Planetarium Show

- Astronaut Planetarium Show

- Sleep in the gallery around the exhibitions

- Woven badge and certificate per child

- Breakfast bag the morning after

FAQ's

We will be sleeping on the floor between the exhibits. Each participant will need to provide their own packed tea for Saturday evening, bedding, nightwear, wash kit and towel.

In the event that the sleepover has to be cancelled because The Space Centre needs to close following government instructions deposits will be refunded to you.

Squash and water for the children during their exploration of the galleries and at breakfast and hot drinks of tea or coffee for the adult leaders will be provided throughout the event.

No, you still need to submit you own 'Residential Event Notification' but there will be assistance with that nearer the time.

All leaders attending will need to have completed safespace level 2, and hold a current DBS. Units will also need to complete their own REN (residential event notification) form, but assistance with this will be provided.
